This is a picture of Katie Holmes... I just thought she was great in Disturbing Behavior. I loved the attitude with the leather jacket. I drew this because I thought it was a great example of a wonderful smile.

8 1/2" X 11", 2hb, 3b, 4b, 5b, white pencil and paper smudge sticks along with toilet paper and 3 different erasures. My last picture I will ever do on 60lb paper... I will be using only 110lb in the future.

The picture I worked from was not very good and I think it shows in the work... Not one of my best but I do like the subject and the smile... enjoy!

P.S. For this piece I think it is best viewed while listening to "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" by Green Day.

Not that I think the words fit the picture but more that I drew this during a difficult time in my life. The past few weeks have reminded me what it feels like to be alone. A feeling I am too familiar with. Drawing this picture has put a beautiful smile on a dark time.
